The Maritime Academy of Nigeria provides education, training and upgrading of officer cadets through the development of knowledge and skills necessary to enable them perform duties at sea as Deck and Engineering officers.

The Maritime Academy of Nigeria offers mandatory practical and specialised trainings towards the development of her sea men and women. Trainings include both short term SIWES programmes and Long Sea trainings.
